This Privacy Policy explains how TODO_COMPANY_NAME ("ZipTimetable", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit https://ziptimetable.com (the "Website") or contact us through it. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the rules made under it. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, we are the Data Fiduciary for the data described below.
This policy covers the marketing Website. When you create an account on the web app at https://app.ziptimetable.com, the data you enter there is processed to provide the service described in our Terms & Conditions.
1. Who we are
TODO_COMPANY_NAME
TODO_ADDRESS
Email: support@ziptimetable.com
2. What data we collect
- Details you give us. If you book a demo or write to us: your name, school or institute name, mobile number, city, approximate number of students, your message, and your email address if you email us.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, referring website, and campaign details in the page address (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and ad click identifiers such as gclid and fbclid).
- Cookies and similar technologies. See section 5. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner.
We do not ask for payment card details on this Website.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to demo requests and enquiries, and to contact you about ZipTimetable.
- To run the free trial and support you.
- To understand how the Website is used and to improve it.
- To measure and improve our advertising on Google and Meta platforms.
- To keep the Website secure, prevent spam and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We rely on your consent (for example when you submit the demo form or accept cookies) and on other lawful uses permitted by the DPDP Act. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 8).
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Website and our marketing:
- Google Analytics (Google) for website analytics.
- Google Ads (Google) to measure and improve advertising.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) to measure and improve advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
- YouTube (Google) if you choose to play an embedded video; the video is loaded only when you click play.
- Hosting, email and spreadsheet or CRM tools we use to receive and manage enquiries.
These providers may process data outside India under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose data where required by law or by a court or government authority.
5. Cookies and advertising
The Website uses:
- Essential storage. We remember your cookie choice and campaign details in your browser's local storage so that the Website works as intended.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics), set only after you accept.
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel), set only after you accept. These let us measure which ads lead to visits and sign-ups, and may be used to show you our ads on other websites.
If you decline, we do not load analytics or advertising tags. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer, and you can also delete cookies in your browser. You can manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com and facebook.com/adpreferences.
To help us tell which campaign led to a sign-up, campaign parameters (such as UTM values and, if you accepted cookies, ad click identifiers) may be added to links from this Website to https://app.ziptimetable.com.
6. How long we keep data
Demo-form and enquiry details are kept for TODO_RETENTION_PERIOD, or until you ask us to delete them, unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal obligation. Analytics data is kept for the period configured in our analytics account. Cookies expire according to their type (see your browser settings).
7. Security
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
- ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data;
- ask us to erase your personal data;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that happened before withdrawal);
- use our grievance redressal process and, if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, email support@ziptimetable.com from the address or with the phone number you used with us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
